Applications Lab
DILAS' world-class applications lab is staffed by laser applications experts and is accessible to our customers for guidance and testing for materials processing applications.
As an applications laboratory, we are dedicated to providing access, training, service (installation and maintenance) and process guidance on diode laser processing applications.
We have developed many different manufacturing processes, including a suite of different diode laser units designed to weld polymers in medical device manufacturing, soldering or automotive parts. Other innovative methods include soldering electronic and electro-mechanical components.
DILAS' lab is equipped with the latest diode laser technologies and processing optics. A large variety of beam sources with different wavelengths and beam dimensions complete the equipment for process analysis such as pyrometer and several types of cameras. Together with fast galvo scanners and CNC controlled 4 axis robots, a variety of welding methods like contour, simultaneous or quasi-simultaneous welding can be tested.
In addition, as part of the ROFIN group, DILAS has access to all the know-how in materials processes and can provide you with contacts for other types of lasers, if needed.
